PAM/NWFC introduces a virtual residency project featuring Malia Jensen’s Nearer Nature: Worth Your Salt.

The Portland Art Museum and Northwest Film Center launch a virtual residency project featuring Malia Jensen’s Nearer Nature: Worth Your Salt. Jensen’s 6-hour video can be accessed 24 hours a day, free of charge from July 30 through November 7, 2020. Exclusive behind-the-scenes content and live events, including a virtual studio visit, a camera check adventure, discussions with project collaborators, and more will be introduced with Fall.

The Nearer Nature Project was created with support from the Creative Heights Initiative of the Oregon Community Foundation.

Jensen’s new exhibition Eremocene, which features artifacts from Nearer Nature, will be on view at Elizabeth Leach Gallery August 6 - 29, 2020.
