Please join us for an engaging dialogue between gallery artist Sean Healy and Stephanie Snyder, the John and Anne Hauberg Director and Curator of the Douglas F. Cooley Memorial Art Gallery at Reed College. The pair will discuss the work in Healy’s exhibition Beautiful Downer and explore its themes of societal and internal conflict, fear-based politics and human vulnerability. Sean Healy’s practice incorporates painting, drawing, sculpture and installation, and  his material experimentation is at the core of his intensive art-making process. The gallery will be open extended hours from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

Sean Healy has been exhibiting with Elizabeth Leach Gallery since 1999, and his artworks have also been shown at Betty Moody Gallery (Houston, TX), Anderson Ranch Arts Center (Snowmass, CO), East/West Project, Dam, Stuhltrager/Gallery Homeland (Berlin, Germany) and The Art Gym (Marylhurst, OR).
